Our Purpose...

To extend the usefulness and influence of independent banks, both national and state chartered, through closer cooperation and greater uniformity of action among the Independent Banks of South Carolina. The Association shall see to promote new, more versatile and service conscious ideas, better business methods, and higher ethical standards, and shall advocate and assist in the enactment of better State and Federal legislation for the protection of the public and the Independent Bank.

Mission Statement...

The mission of the Independent Banks of South Carolina Association is to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information; to provide education opportunities for, and facilitate interaction between community banks; to communicate to the banking public the vital role which community banks play in each local community; to maintain the dual banking system; to be an advocate for Federal and State legislation and policies which provide for sound economic development and which preserve the competitive position of our members; and to advance and safeguard the American system of community banking in the belief that it is best suited to provide financial service to the diversified communities in the United States.
